Up to 3 g samples and 1500 °C for soils, waste, minerals and TOC/TIC/EC analysis.

multi EA 4000 analyzes C, S and Cl in solids with 3 g samples, 1500 °C furnace and 48-position autosampler.

multi EA 4000 handles solid and paste samples including soils, sediments, waste and minerals. It measures total C/S/Cl and environmental carbon fractions such as TOC, TIC, EC and BOC. Up to 3 g sample mass reduces heterogeneity and gives stated detection limits of 3 ppm C/S and 0.3 ppm Cl.

The furnace reaches 1500 °C for C/S, briefly 1800 °C with additives; chlorine uses up to 1000 °C and pyrolysis 850 °C. Wide-range NDIR detects C/S, while a patented three-in-one coulometric electrode detects Cl. FPG 48 automates 48 boat samples.
