PlasmaQuant MS

Entry model with a robust plasma for high-salt matrices, organic solvents and petrochemical samples.

PlasmaQuant MS is a quadrupole ICP-MS with ReflexION ion optics, iCRC cell, argon consumption below 9 L/min and a 3–260 u mass range.

PlasmaQuant MS is a quadrupole ICP-MS designed for sensitive analysis of difficult matrices, including high dissolved solids, organic solvents and petrochemical feedstocks.

Eco Plasma technology combines an efficient RF system with a nearly center-grounded plasma, allowing plasma gas consumption below 9 L/min. The manufacturer claims up to 50% lower plasma operating costs. No plasma shield is used, and secondary discharge is avoided.

ReflexION optics bend the ion beam by 90° and focus it with a parabolic electrostatic field. The integrated iCRC collision/reaction cell removes interferences with helium and hydrogen; gas modes switch within three seconds. A discrete-dynode electron multiplier provides 11 orders of dynamic range. Uranium-238 sensitivity for the base model is 300 million counts per ppm.
