ALPHA II

Laptop-sized FT-IR for raw-material identification and quality control with 21 CFR Part 11 support.

Bruker ALPHA II is a compact FT-IR system with OPUS TOUCH for QC and raw-material verification, designed for pharmacopoeial workflows.

ALPHA II is a laptop-sized Bruker FT-IR spectrometer for routine chemical analysis, quantitative testing and verification of raw materials, intermediates and finished goods. Bruker describes operation as simple as using a mobile phone.

For incoming goods, the operator compares a sample spectrum with a library and receives a match/no-match result without interpreting the spectrum. This allows routine warehouse staff to check every batch.

OPUS TOUCH and OPUS support ALCOA+ data integrity and full 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. Bruker claims compliance with major pharmacopoeias; an ISO 17025 support package is available. Accessories include heated ATR, diamond-crystal INSITU-ATR for reaction monitoring, Soil Analyzer and a high-pressure module.
