autoflex maX

A versatile mid-range system, from routine quality control to analysis of polymers above 100 kDa.

autoflex maX is a MALDI-TOF with an optional TOF/TOF mode, resolving power up to 26,000, a 2 kHz smartbeam-II laser and a self-cleaning ion source.

autoflex maX is a MALDI-TOF system positioned by the manufacturer as a versatile solution for tasks ranging from routine quality control to research characterisation, with particular emphasis on polymers and complex samples.

It is available in TOF and TOF/TOF configurations. The TOF/TOF option for protein identification and sequence confirmation can be installed on an instrument already in service. The smartbeam-II solid-state laser reaches 2 kHz in MS mode and 200 Hz in MS/MS mode. Resolving power reaches 26,000, and the mass range covers polymers and intact proteins above 100 kDa.

The Perpetual Ion Source can be cleaned with an infrared laser at the touch of a button, avoiding disassembly when contaminated. Samples are loaded through a horizontal autoloader. A 10-bit digitiser complements the FlashDetector to extend dynamic range.
