Handheld Class 1 Raman in every mode, meeting Ph. Eur. 2.2.48 requirements for benchtop systems.

BRAVO uses SSE fluorescence suppression, DuoLaser 785/852 nm excitation and supports Ph. Eur. 2.2.48 and USP <1120>.

BRAVO is a handheld Raman instrument for material verification outside the lab. It identifies substances through clear glass vials or plastic bags by comparing spectra to a library and returning match/no-match results.

Fluorescence can overwhelm Raman signals. Bruker's patented Sequentially Shifted Excitation (SSE) changes laser wavelength by temperature: Raman bands move while fluorescence stays fixed, so subtraction removes the background. DuoLaser excitation at 785 and 852 nm maintains sensitivity across a broad range, including C–H stretching.

Bruker describes BRAVO as the only handheld Raman instrument that is Class 1 in every operating mode and meets the Ph. Eur. 2.2.48 requirements applied to benchtop systems. It also supports USP <1120>, ASTM E2529-06/E1840-96, 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity and cGMP. Its main use is 100% incoming raw-material testing in the warehouse.
