compact is a benchtop QTOF with 1 ppm mass accuracy, five orders of in-scan dynamic range and picogram-level sensitivity.

compact is a benchtop quadrupole time-of-flight system that brings research-grade technology into a compact, reliable and economical instrument. Its key stated specification is five orders of in-scan dynamic range at UHPLC speeds.

The manufacturer notes that all specified performance figures are achieved together in a single analysis, without task-specific tuning. Mass accuracy is 1 ppm with automatic calibration, and sensitivity reaches the picogram level for both full-scan MS and MS/MS. Its full-sensitivity resolution is obtained without a loss of sensitivity.

Applications include routine screening and quantification in food and environmental testing, forensics and anti-doping, identification of metabolites, degradants and impurities, and biomarker discovery. True Isotopic Pattern and SmartFormula help determine the molecular formula of unknown compounds; data are processed in TASQ.
