EM27

Remote gas-cloud detection beyond 5 km with passive thermal sensing and no installed light source.

EM27 is a portable open-path FT-IR with ppm-level detection, automated radiometric calibration and a library of over 40 gases.

EM27 is a mobile open-path FT-IR for remote atmospheric chemical sensing. In passive mode it detects a cloud's own thermal radiation against sky or landscape, with no source or reflector across the path. Operators can point toward a suspected leak without approaching it. Active mode with an external source is also available.

Detection extends beyond 5 km at concentrations of a few ppm. An internal source supports automatic radiometric calibration without target-gas calibration. A spectral library covers over 40 compounds as standard and over 400 optionally, identifying them in real time. RockSolid optics combine high light throughput and low noise; OPUS RS/E controls the system.

Applications include plant air monitoring, stack emissions, volcanic and wildfire gases and hazardous releases.
