EMXplus

Versatile continuous-wave EPR with 24-bit field resolution and 3.8–1200 K temperature options.

EMXplus covers 100 mG to 1.7 T, reaches 1.6 × 10⁹ spins sensitivity in X-band and offers 24-bit field resolution.

EMXplus is a general-purpose CW EPR spectrometer for free radicals, transition metals, dosimetry and materials testing.

Its field spans 100 mG to 1.7 T with 10 mG/h stability. Center-field setting and signal amplitude use 24-bit resolution; center-field accuracy is better than 1 mG, with up to 256,000 sweep points. This matters for narrow resonances.

Sensitivity is 1.6 × 10⁹ spins in X-band and 1 × 10⁹ in Q-band; the weak-pitch S/N ratio is 2000:1 with PremiumX. Modulation runs from 4 to 100 kHz in 1 kHz steps, to 20 G amplitude, with 0.01 ms–1 s time constants. Dual-channel detection simultaneously captures 0°/90° phases and first/second harmonics; optional microwave attenuation reaches 90 dB.

Supported resonators include Dual Mode, TM mode, optical transmission, standard, dielectric, high-temperature and Mixing Resonator. Temperature accessories cover 3.8–1200 K. Modes include CW and CW-ENDOR; Xenon Software Suite controls the system.
