MATRIX-F II

Measure directly inside reactors and pipes with six fiber channels and an explosion-protected option.

MATRIX-F II is a process FT-NIR with a six-port fiber multiplexer, NEMA 5/IP65 enclosure and Ethernet, OPC, Modbus and Profibus interfaces.

MATRIX-F II is Bruker's process FT-NIR for real-time measurements in reactors and pipelines using remote fiber-optic measurement points. Unlike a laboratory system, it mounts at the production line, runs continuously and feeds composition data to process controls through Ethernet, OPC, 4–20 mA, Modbus and Profibus DP.

A six-port fiber multiplexer supports multiple channels. Housing options are NEMA 5/IP65 or a 19-inch rack; MATRIX-F exproof serves hazardous areas. Standard fiber cells and probes, noncontact emission, combined duplex and exproof configurations cover different process layouts.

The NIR lamp lasts over three years on average, while interferometer moving parts and the solid-state laser have a ten-year warranty. An automated filter wheel and OPUS Validation Program check performance. Uses include reaction monitoring, intermediate/product QC, blend uniformity, concentration and polymerization.
