MATRIX-MF II

Monitor up to six reactions at once with fiber-optic ATR probes immersed directly in the reactor.

Bruker MATRIX-MF II uses a six-channel multiplexer, fiber-optic ATR probes, RockSolid optics and optional ATEX protection.

MATRIX-MF II is Bruker's FT-IR system for real-time chemical and biological reaction monitoring. The older MATRIX-MF product URL now returns 404; the active model is MATRIX-MF II.

An attenuated total reflection (ATR) probe sits in the reaction mixture and sends spectra by optical fiber to an instrument outside the process area. Reagent and product concentrations are tracked continuously, allowing spectral endpoint detection without sampling. An automatic multiplexer monitors up to six reactions simultaneously.

The system uses a permanently aligned RockSolid interferometer, DigiTect detector electronics and a standard 19-inch rack enclosure. BQC quick-connect fiber probes include IN350-T (6 mm, ATEX available), IN351 (3.17 mm), IN355 (6.3 mm) and ATEX IN356-EX (12 mm); silicon crystals are available.

The explosion-protected MATRIX-MF ex-proof has ATEX markings II 2G Ex px II T4 (T6) and II (1) G [Ex op is T6] IIC. Process integration includes 4–20 mA, OPC, Modbus and Profibus DP. OPUS Validation Program handles validation and functional tests; confirm task-specific specifications with Bruker.
