MPA III Dairy

Liquid and solid dairy products on one platform with homogenizer, automatic cleaning and a 1 mm quartz cell.

MPA III Dairy combines a homogenizer/pump liquid module, 1 mm quartz flow cell and integrating sphere for solid samples.

MPA III Dairy is an FT-NIR QC analyzer for liquid and solid dairy and plant-based products, built on the MPA III platform. It measures fat, protein, lactose and moisture.

Its liquid module selects a homogenizer or peristaltic pump in software. Homogenization breaks fat globules whose scattering would otherwise distort spectra; homogeneous liquids can use the pump. The temperature-controlled 1 mm quartz flow cell is wear-free and maintenance-free, cleaning cycles are automatic, and transparent tubing permits visual inspection.

An integrating sphere measures solid and semisolid products by diffuse reflection without preparation. Powders use cups; semisolids use disposable polystyrene, glass or quartz Petri dishes. Sample rotation averages a larger volume. Products include raw, skimmed, processed and condensed milk; whey and concentrates; cream; dairy beverages; ice cream, yogurt and desserts; infant formula premixes; cheese, butter and dairy powders.
