OPS

Active open-path monitoring to 500 m with ppb detection for more than 350 compounds.

OPS offers a 500 m path, 1.0 cm⁻¹ standard resolution (0.5 optional), up to 5 Hz acquisition and calibration-free quantification.

OPS (Open Path Spectrometer) is an active FT-IR gas analyzer. Its own mid-IR source sends a beam to a reflector across an open path, and a telescope gathers the return. This source enables ppb rather than ppm detection, but the reflector fixes the path, suiting permanent plant-perimeter monitoring.

The path extends to 500 m; resolution is 1.0 cm⁻¹ standard or 0.5 cm⁻¹ optional, with up to 5 Hz acquisition. Library-based analysis quantifies over 350 compounds without target-gas calibration. OPUS RS/OPS controls the system. Applications include industrial perimeters, fugitive leaks, exhaust, agricultural and wildfire emissions and air quality.
