A full metal composition in under 30 seconds from a portable 19 kg spark OES.

Q2 ION is an ultracompact 19 kg spark spectrometer with CCD detection and metal analysis in under 30 seconds.

Q2 ION is among the smallest spark OES instruments, measuring 440 × 220 × 390 mm and weighing 19 kg for on-site use in foundries, metalworking, scrap, warehouses and inspection. It analyzes copper, aluminum, iron/steel, zinc and tin matrices in under 30 seconds.

Argon-purged flat-field ClearSpectrum optics preserve short-wavelength performance, with a low-dark-current uncoated CCD. Its maintenance-free pulse-width-modulated spark generator operates at 50–1000 Hz. Automatic ambient compensation supports 10–45 °C operation.
