Fast research Raman mapping with 400 spectra per exposure and stationary-stage laser scanning.

RAMANtouch combines 400 spectra per exposure, 10 nm beam positioning, sub-0.9 cm⁻¹ spectral resolution and 350 nm X resolution.

RAMANtouch is the core Nanophoton research Raman microscope in Bruker's range. Its patented line illumination excites many points at once, so a 2D CCD acquires 400 spectra per exposure. A galvanometer scans the beam to 10 nm positioning accuracy while the stage remains stationary, reducing vibration and mechanical error without an expensive EMCCD.

Spectral resolution is better than 0.9 cm⁻¹ depending on grating (about 0.67 cm⁻¹ FWHM at 785 nm with 2400 lines/mm). Peak-position accuracy is 0.1 cm⁻¹, valuable for crystal stress mapping. Spatial resolution is 350 nm X, 500 nm Y and 1 µm Z with a 100×/0.90 NA objective.

A 550 mm spectrometer supports up to three gratings from 150 to 2400 lines/mm, a cooled 1340 × 400 CCD and lasers from 325 to 785 nm. The motorized 30 × 30 × 35 mm stage drifts no more than 50 nm per 1 °C room change. Modes include point, line and AreaFlash. Software provides ZTrack, Wide Field AreaFlash, VolumeRaman up to 18 mm³, 3D and interlaced mapping and automatic particle scans. The 70 kg unit is Class I interlocked. Bruker presents RAMANforce with RAMANtouch as one family rather than a separate product page.
