S2 PICOFOX

Trace-element analysis without gases, water or consumable solutions at only 180 W, including outside the lab.

S2 PICOFOX is a transportable TXRF for Al–U trace analysis, sub-ppb detection and 180 W maximum power.

S2 PICOFOX is a transportable total-reflection XRF for nanogram-to-microgram samples. Monochromatic X-rays strike a flat carrier at a very shallow angle, sharply reducing matrix absorption and scattering and lowering detection limits by orders of magnitude versus conventional geometry.

It needs no gases, cooling water, consumables or periodic service and uses at most 180 W, making field use practical. Factory calibration with an internal standard avoids daily recalibration. It measures Al–U except Nb–Ru, including halides and elements forming volatile compounds.
