VERTEX NEO R

Successor to VERTEX 70v with sub-0.16 cm⁻¹ resolution, a vacuum bench and a fully evacuated ATR path.

Bruker VERTEX NEO R offers better than 0.16 cm⁻¹ resolution, better than 0.005 cm⁻¹ wavenumber accuracy, RockSolid optics, six detector slots and seven ports.

Introduced in 2025, VERTEX NEO R is a vacuum research FT-IR and Bruker's stated successor to VERTEX 70v. Evacuation removes atmospheric water and CO₂ absorption that nitrogen purging cannot fully eliminate and enables far-IR/terahertz work where air absorbs strongly.

Its permanently aligned RockSolid corner-cube interferometer uses aluminum-coated optics at 30° incidence. Resolution is better than 0.16 cm⁻¹ and wavenumber accuracy better than 0.005 cm⁻¹. Rapid, slow, step-scan and interleaved acquisition support time-resolved measurements.

MultiTect holds up to five ambient or thermoelectrically cooled detectors, plus a DigiTect slot for one or two nitrogen-cooled detectors. The standard nitrogen-cooled detector retains cooling for 12 hours. Seven software-switchable beam ports—five outputs and two inputs—connect microscopes and accessories simultaneously.

Bruker describes its vacuum ATR as the industry's first fully evacuated optical path to the sample. Optional verTera extends into the terahertz region to 3 cm⁻¹ (below 90 GHz). Near/far IR, visible and UV are supported. OPUS TOUCH controls the system; obtain configuration-specific specifications from Bruker.
