VERTEX NEO Ultra
Bruker / Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), including far-IR and terahertz

VERTEX NEO Ultra

0.04 cm⁻¹ resolution with software-switched beamsplitters, four sources and up to six detectors under constant vacuum.

Bruker VERTEX NEO Ultra combines UltraScan air-bearing optics, automated beamsplitters, four sources, seven ports and resolution to 0.04 cm⁻¹.

VERTEX NEO Ultra is the top constant-vacuum benchtop research FT-IR in Bruker's VERTEX NEO platform, positioned for the highest resolution, broadest spectral range, signal-to-noise and automation.

Resolution options are 0.12, 0.07 and 0.04 cm⁻¹; the best is four times finer than the 0.16 cm⁻¹ NEO R. This resolves rotational features within gas-phase vibrational bands for atmospheric chemistry, astrophysics and isotope analysis. The UltraScan interferometer uses a linear air-bearing scanner and active mirror alignment; no mechanical contact allows the travel needed for high resolution.

The optical bench stays under vacuum between measurements, avoiding repeated pump-down and improving baseline stability. A four-position automatic beamsplitter changer, four switchable sources and software-selected detectors change spectral regions without opening the vacuum.

MultiTect supports up to five ambient/thermoelectrically cooled detectors according to the product page, though the launch release says six. DigiTect takes a nitrogen-cooled or special detector; MCT cooling lasts 12 hours. Seven beam ports comprise five outputs and two inputs. Step-scan records nanosecond and microsecond kinetics. Vacuum Platinum ATR and QuickLock accessories support transmission, ATR, reflection, DRIFTS and emission. verTera reaches 3 cm⁻¹ without cryogenic cooling. OPUS TOUCH provides touchscreen control.
