Analyte Excite+

Expanded aperture set: 64 spot options up to 245 µm and washout below one second.

Analyte Excite+ uses a 193 nm ArF laser with pulses below 4 ns, 64 apertures, 1–245 µm spots and typical 0.7 s washout.

Analyte Excite+ is a 193 nm excimer laser ablation system with beam homogenization. Compared with Analyte Excite, it offers 64 rather than 32 apertures, a maximum spot of 245 rather than 155 µm and an integrated eQC sensor measuring energy at the sample.

A flat-top diffractive homogenizer distributes energy evenly for flat-bottomed craters, reproducible ablation volumes and reliable depth profiling. Pulses are shorter than 4 ns, with below 2% RMS stability at up to 300 Hz.

The dual-volume HelEx II cell washes out to 0.1% of peak signal in less than one second, typically 0.7 s. Optional ARIS aerosol transport shortens combined rise and fall to 30 ms, supporting mapping at 30–60 Hz. The 100 × 100 mm cell workspace has a 150 mm option. Applications include environmental and geological analysis, geochronology, forensics, isotope profiling and depth profiling.
