Analyte HE

High-fluence laser ablation up to 50 J/cm² for materials that resist conventional ablation.

Analyte HE is a 193 nm ArF laser ablation system with fluence up to 50 J/cm² for difficult materials.

Analyte HE is a 193 nm excimer laser ablation system using a Coherent COMPexPro 102 ArF gas-discharge laser. HE denotes its high-energy pulse capability.

Its maximum fluence is 50 J/cm² versus 15 J/cm² for Excite models. Pulses are longer (below 20 rather than below 4 ns), and repetition is limited to 1–20 rather than 1–300 Hz. This favors difficult materials requiring greater energy per pulse rather than faster mapping.

Its attenuator adjusts continuously from 1% to maximum, a wider range than on the Excite models. It retains the flat-top diffractive homogenizer and dual-volume HelEx II cell, with washout to 0.1% in less than one second. Thirty apertures cover 1–170 µm spots; the submicron-resolution stage travels 100 × 100 mm in XY and 50 mm in Z.
