Iridia uses a 193 nm ArF laser up to 1 kHz, 1–150 µm spots and a Cobalt cell with single-pulse response below 1 ms.

Iridia is a flagship 193 nm ArF excimer laser ablation system for both bulk quantitative analysis and elemental mapping. The manufacturer reports switching workflows in under five minutes.

Its adjustable single-pulse response ranges from below 1 ms to over 1 s. Baseline pulse separation is achieved at 500 Hz, and peak-to-peak reproducibility is below 5% RSD up to 1 kHz.

The patented Cobalt cell incorporates Dynamic-Z, which maintains a 60–200 µm sample-to-aerosol-pickup distance within ±10 µm regardless of topography. A permanently installed eQC sensor measures energy at the sample before and after a run. The optical path is sealed and purged; the system meets Class 1 laser safety.
