An electrode furnace above 3000 °C for refractory samples with ppb-level nitrogen and hydrogen sensitivity.

G6 LEONARDO analyzes O, N and H by inert-gas fusion at above 3000 °C, with single- or dual-element configurations.

G6 LEONARDO measures oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen in metals by inert-gas fusion in a graphite crucible. The range transferred from Bruker to XRF Scientific in April 2026 without a model-name change. O, N, H, O+N and O+H configurations are available.

A water-cooled FusionControl electrode furnace exceeds 3000 °C for refractory materials. Its electronic drive needs no compressed air. Multirange moving-part-free NDIR detects oxygen as CO; a reference-channel thermal-conductivity detector measures N/H. The manufacturer states ng/g sensitivity for N and H and sub-ppm performance on 1 g samples.

Samples are dry pieces, chips, pins or granules up to 8 × 8 mm cross-section. Argon/helium serve O/N and nitrogen serves H. The system includes industrial methods and single/multipoint calibration. It requires 4 L/min cooling water at 3 bar and weighs about 145 kg.
