Identify and quantify proteins and peptides in biological samples, including post-translational modifications.
How the analysis is performed
Extract proteins and, where needed, digest them into peptides. Liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry separates the mixture and records fragments; database matching identifies proteins. MALDI-TOF is used for selected applications.
